Mangaluru: Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, attended farmers To cultivate paddy on fallow land in Kadekar village of Udupi district on Thursday. The crop insurance scheme launched by the PM allows farmers to report crop losses using a mobile app and get benefits without meeting government officials. Farmers can directly upload images of crop loss Application, to get compensation. The government aims to increase the income of Indian farmers,” said Karandlaje.
“I have suggested MLA Bhat To involve more and more farmers in the activities of Kedarotthan Trust, and also to form Farmer Producer Organization. Such initiatives will help farmers to take advantage of all the agriculture schemes of the government,” the minister said.
“Schools and colleges should take initiative to introduce farming to the students and involve them in agricultural activities. I will ensure support from the central and state governments for agricultural activities.”
