Recently, the Delhi Crime actress opened up about being touched inappropriately in a crowded place. Shefali was recently a part of a podcast where she talked about Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding, where she played the role of a woman who was sexually abused as a child.
During an ANI podcast, he said, “Like I said earlier, everyone has been through it. I remember walking into a crowded market and being touched inappropriately and feeling crap about it. And, never said anything because I wouldn’t say it was a fault but it’s just… embarrassing. When the host asked if the actress wondered if she did something to invite this, she replied, “Yes. I agree with you. A lot of people think, did I do something? You feel guilty.” , embarrassing and you feel ‘forget it (forget it). Throw it under the carpet kind of thing. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve given it enough thought that it’s an important conversation to have. It There was something that went straight into me and into the whole film.”
Shefali Shah was recently seen in Delhi Crime, Doctor Ji and Darlings. In Alia Bhatt’s Darlings, she played the mother of a domestic abuse victim. In an exclusive conversation with News18, he said that his character was closest to him as a human being. “Shamshunisa is closest to me as a person. I am very much like him. I know I have the image of a very serious person but believe me I have a sense of humour. i’m funny I’m evil in a funny way. And that’s what the film is about. So it was really refreshing for me to do it because I’ve always been considered a very serious actor because of the image of the work I’ve done. Although I am very serious about what I do, I have another side which is fun. And it was a lot of fun doing Darlings. It really was a wonderful journey for all of us,” she told us.
