Shark Tank India S2 judge Namita Thapar has courted a fresh controversy after she accused her domestic help of stealing her phone and posting a disgusting story.

Shark Tank India judge Namita Thapar is caught in the middle of a controversy. A hate-filled Instagram story was posted on his official social media account on Saturday. The post suggested it came from one of her sons, which has created quite a stir on the internet. Later, Namitha clarified the rift by claiming that it was her educated house help who stole her phone, wrote hateful captions and posted it online. Not only a post but Thapar’s Instagram bio was also allegedly changed by her house help.

Thapar’s Instagram bio reads, “Sh**t mother, sh**teer wife.” While a now-deleted Instagram story, which showed Thapar at her home apparently wearing a blue kurta, claimed that the Emure Pharmaceuticals executive director is not who she appears on television. It was written in the story, “This is Namita’s son. I just want the world to know that the person you see on TV is not who you think they are. Unfollow him as soon as possible. Will tell the reason in the coming time.

The Instagram story was immediately taken down and the Shark Tank India judge issued a clarification on Twitter. “This is what makes this world hateful, makes people poisonous. An educated house help, who was fired, stole my phone and put up a hateful post on me on social media. The cost of being a public figure! Apologies,” Thapar wrote.

While a section of the internet has expressed sympathy with the businessman, some do not agree with the clarification issued by him. On Monday morning, Thapar shared a cryptic clip from one of her previous podcasts on Twitter to address the ongoing trolling and hatred that has been generated online due to the recent incidents. In the clip, Namitha expressed that it is important to show vulnerabilities at times and claimed that she had attempted to do so in her book. “I am not going away from social media because of this 1 minute video, even though vicious trolling does not spare even a cute teenager. Have a great week ahead.” Check it out here:
