In the third phase of winter, the mercury has reached minus in Haryana. Hisar’s Balsamand recorded a minimum temperature of -0.2 degree Celsius. Except Ambala, the situation has worsened in other 21 districts. The temperature in these districts has been recorded less than 5 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, an average fall of -1.4 degrees has been observed in 24 hours.
The situation is worse in these districts
Along with Balsamand in Haryana’s Hisar district, the mercury of Mahendragarh has been recorded at -0.4. The industrial town of Gurugram has recorded colder nights than Shimla. The minimum mercury recorded here is 0.1. 0.8 in Hisar district, 1.4 in Jagdishpur of Sonepat, 1.6 in Mewat, 1.4 in Kaithal, 1.5 in Sirsa have been recorded.
Orange alert of Meteorological Department
Chandigarh Meteorological Department has declared Orange Alert in view of the weather today and tomorrow. According to the department, dense fog and cold wave will continue in Haryana for two days. The night temperature will drop further. Due to this, there is also a possibility of freezing of mercury in some districts.
