After Dheeraj Dhoopar, Shakti Arora is planning to quit Kundali Bhagya.
Kundali Bhagya has now made its name among the longest running shows on television. It is a spin-off show of Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha-starrer Kumkum Bhagya, which premiered on Zee TV in July 2017 and has since been the top rated show on the channel. With several leaps, twists and turns, the show has seen major ups and downs during its run. And now, ETimes has reported that the show will take another leap of 20 years and Shakti Arora is keen to quit the show.
A source revealed that despite the leap, Shraddha Arya will continue in her role and play the mother of the new generation while Shakti Arora is keen to quit the show.
The actor recently entered the show after Dheeraj Dhoopar’s exit, initially he was supposed to play a new character in the show but later it was revealed that he was Dheeraj Dhoopar’s character Karan but had lost his memory. The audience has finally started accepting the new pairing but now Shakti is planning to exit the show with a leap.
When the Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi actor entered the show, he spoke to Bombay Times and said, “I was wondering what else I can add to it. However, I am not replacing anyone in the show. I am playing a new character, Arjun.”
“The character’s graph impressed me. This piqued my interest and I accepted the offer. Another advantage is that the show gets good viewership and I will not have to struggle on that front. In today’s day and age, when shows are getting closed in less than three months, what if mine gets closed in no time, people will say that three years are sitting and in three months the show got banded (Laughs!).
