Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in the 2018 film romantic-drama Zero opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Since then, the fans of King Khan are eagerly waiting to see him on the silver screen. Looks like there is good news for fans of the actor as the megastar is back to work on his action-thriller Pathan.
According to a report in timesThe actor was seen with the director of the film Siddharth Anand at Yah Raj Studios today, June 25. These developments are likely to indicate that the actor has resumed shooting for the much-hyped film. Earlier, in April, the shooting of the film was halted for two days, but later, due to the extended lockdown in Maharashtra, the makers could not resume the shoot.
The film has finally started after a long gap. Reportedly, SRK has started the first shoot and will soon be in the film with the other two lead stars – Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. While a major portion of the film will be shot in Mumbai, the rest will consist of big action and large-scale sequences, which are set to take place abroad. The film is said to be a high-octane action-thriller in which Shah Rukh will be seen performing some of the best stunts.
Similar to the action sequences performed by Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, some action sequences will also be performed on Burj Khalifa. The film also has a surprise for the fans of Salman Khan as the actor will be seen in a cameo in the film.
For a 10-day long schedule in Mumbai, the actors will shoot inside the bio-bubble to ensure safety due to coronavirus. The makers have also ensured that the entire cast and crew is vaccinated before resuming the shoot.
Interestingly, Shah Rukh resumed the film on the day his debut film Deewana released. Today marks 29 years of his first Bollywood film. The actor won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for this 1992 action-romantic drama. The film also starred Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti in lead roles.
