Kharagpur. Archana Joshi, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, inspected the Kharagpur factory and also interacted with the trainees of Kharagpur Karkhana Regional Welding Training Institute. DRM Manoranjan Pradhan and other railway officials were also present with him. In the meeting room of the Chief Operations Manager, the GM took information about the functioning of Kharagpur factory, meeting the Chief Executive Manager, Bijay Kumar Rath and other branch officers. The GM then visited the Regional Welding Training Institute (RWTI), where S.T. Principal of CK, Pratap Narayan Bhattacharya welcomed the GM.
The Principal apprised the General Manager about the welding training in brief. After this, he was given a brief description of the working of the simulator. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, inaugurated by the Railway Minister last fortnight, since September 28, 20 (twenty) trainees are taking welding training. These trainees were also introduced to General Manager Archana Joshi by going to the class. Information about special machines and equipment related to welding was also given to the General Manager by the Principal.
General Manager Archana Joshi was impressed by the statements of Principal Pratap Narayan Bhattacharya and told him that she would like to visit the Regional Welding Training Institute (RWTI) once again in future. The principal thanked him for giving him the time.
