Seema Taparia to return in Netflix’s ‘Indian Matchmaking’ Season 2 from August 10

angel: The reality series ‘Indian Matchmaking’ starring Mumbai’s top matchmaker Seema Taparia is making a comeback with its second season. As reported by ‘Variety’, the eight-episode second season will premiere on OTT platform Netflix on August 10. The new season will feature hour-long episodes during which Taparia will work with Millennials around the world in search of their perfect match. Tapriya will once again draw on her decades of experience and traditional methods to help lucky singles find the one.

Seema told Variety, “The love I have received from the fans of the show is amazing. Matchmaking is my passion, and it is a pleasure to share my work with audiences across the globe. Seema is back from Mumbai. Has been!”

Academy Award nominee Smriti Mundra, creator and executive producer of the series, said, “The response to Season 1 of ‘Indian Matchmaking’ was overwhelming, and we are thrilled to be back with more episodes that explore the rollercoaster of emotions and difficult conversations. Let us embark on a journey to find love.”

“Variety” states that in March, Netflix announced that the franchise was expanding with a new series coming soon, “Jewish Matchmaking.” The spinoff will follow singles in the US and Israel who seek a Jewish matchmaker who helps them find their soul mate using the traditional practice of Shidduch.

Aaron Seidman, Ellie Holzman and Jesse Begley also serve as executive producers on the series, which was nominated for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program at the 2021 Emmys. ‘Indian Matchmaking’ is produced by Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a part of Sony Pictures TV.
