BENGALURU: Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Karnataka to avoid any untoward incident in view of the High Court’s hijab case today.
District administration has imposed prohibitory orders section 144 of the Indian Penal Code in Udupi, shivamoga and Kalaburagi in other districts of the state.
Yesterday, District Magistrate Kurma Rao M announced that all schools and colleges in Udipi would remain closed on March 15. District Administration of Dakshina KannadaHaasan, Davangere and Shivamogga have also ordered closure of schools and colleges today.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant said yesterday that the administration in Bengaluru has banned all public gatherings, gatherings or protests for a week till March 21.
