Scruffle broke out in theatre while watching ‘Gadar’; Bouncers beat audiences

New Delhi: A scuffle broke out in a mall in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district when people sitting in the theater complained about the AC being turned off. It is alleged that the bouncers of the cinema hall beat the audience by running in front of the police. 

On the complaint of the victims, the police registered a case against bouncers, staff, and the manager of the cinema hall.

The AC of the theater was turned off

According to the information, the incident took place in Kidwai Nagar’s South Ex Mall. People had reached here on Wednesday night show to watch the Gadar-2 movie. Meanwhile, the AC of the theater stopped working. The condition of the spectators worsened due to the heat. They started creating a ruckus to turn on the AC. Meanwhile, they got into an argument with the bouncers of the cinema hall that turned into a fight in no time. 

Many got injured in the fight

It is alleged that the bouncers of the cinema hall chased and beat up the rioting audience. On information police also reached the spot and tried to calm the ruckus, but the bouncers continued to beat people in front of the police. Many people have also suffered injuries in the fight.

Spectators were demanding refund of ticket money

Jitendra Singh, in charge of the Juhi police station, has told that there was a dispute over the shutdown of the AC of the hall. The audience were demanding a refund of the ticket money. CTV cameras installed in the hall premises are being checked. Strict action will be taken against the accused.
