According to the notice issued by the District Magistrate’s office, from May 1, private and government schools will open till 11.30 am.

In view of the improvement in the weather, the Patna district administration has decided to extend the school timings by 45 minutes from Monday (May 1).

In the notice issued from the District Magistrate’s office, it has been said that private and government schools will open from May 1 till 11.30 am. Along with this, the timing of schools in Patna will be from 6.30 am to 11.30 am.

On April 18, District Magistrate Chandra Shekhar Singh announced the reduction of school timings from 11.30 am to 10.45 am in Patna when the maximum temperature in Patna reached above 43 degree Celsius. They have reduced the duration of a subject from 45 to 30 minutes due to short school hours. Now with the increase in the school timings, the study time will also increase accordingly and will help in completing the syllabus on time.

There has been a drop in the temperature in the district in the last few days. On Sunday, the people of Patna experienced rain and winds in the city, bringing great relief from the hot and humid environment.

Patna’s maximum temperature on Sunday was 36 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 24 degree.
