New Delhi: Based on the life of revolutionary freedom fighter Udham Singh, ‘Sardar Udham’ is a biographical film based on Shoojit Sircar. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, the film tells the story of Udham Singh, who is best known for killing Michael O’Dwyer in London to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919 in Amritsar.
Many celebrities from the Hindi film industry praised Vicky Kaushal’s performance in ‘Sardar Udham’. Actress Sara Ali Khan also took to her Instagram stories and praised the film and Vicky Kaushal as an actor.
The ‘Atrangi Re’ actress shared a story on her Instagram which read, “A very honest, visually stunning and soul touching film by Shoojit Sircar sir! Beautiful, heartwarming and simply brilliant performance by Vicky Kaushal You are truly one of the best actors we have.”
Vicky Kaushal’s rumored girlfriend Katrina Kaif also praised the film and wrote, “@shoojitsircar what a vision, such an entertaining beautiful film, pure immaculate story – @vickykaushal09 just pure talent, raw, honest, heart breaking”.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal as Udham Singh, the film also stars Amol Parashar as Bhagat Singh, Banita Sandhu as Reshma, Shaun Scott as Michael O’Dwyer and others. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video on October 16, 2021.
Vicky started his career by working as an assistant director in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. She made her acting debut with the 2012 film ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’. He made his debut as a lead in the 2015 film ‘Masaan’ and since then, there is no stopping for the actor as he has appeared in films like ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, ‘Sanju’, ‘Raazi’, ‘Uri’. has acted.
