Sangeet festival of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust is starting from April 2 in Pune

Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust organizes a music festival every year in Pune between Gudi Padwa and Ram Navami. The concert was canceled last year due to the raging pandemic. To the delight of music lovers, it will be organized this year. The festival will begin on Saturday, April 2 and will last for nine days.

For the past several years, this festival has been organized at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch in Pune. The music festival, which began much earlier in 1984, is the only Indian music festival with free entry for visitors. The special guests of the program include Kedar Jadhav, Nitin Daithankar, Sanjay Upadhyay, Ajay Gaikwad and Abhijit Jadhav.

Many stalwarts from the field of music and culture will be seen performing at the festival this year. The festival is unique in that it allows some young artists to perform as well. This festival immerses every attendee in a serene sense of happiness with its harmonious tone. Attendees can enjoy a violin performance on Saturday evenings from 5.30 to 6.30.

This festival provides an enriching experience to those who love Indian classical music as Ustad Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki and Manjusha Kulkarni Patil will attend the sangeet ceremony. Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust has released an informative leaflet which gives all the details about the sangeet ceremony.

Many social initiatives have been taken under the aegis of Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust. For example, the trust provides educational and financial assistance to underprivileged children and microfinance facilities to small businesses.

In March 2014, the Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust provided relief to farmers whose crops were damaged by heavy rains and hailstorms. The trust also built houses for 12 farmers of Nimgaon Ketki in Pune district.
