Sanchari Vijay Death Anniversary: ​​Tribute to National Award Winner

Kannada actor and National Award winner Sanchari Vijay passed away on June 15 last year after a fatal road accident. He was riding a bike with his friend when he slipped and hit an electric pole. Despite emergency brain surgery, Sanchari Vijay was declared brain dead.

Brain death is a condition when brain functions cease to exist. His organs were donated by the family members of Sanchari Vijay. Sanchari Vijay’s brother Siddhesh had said during a conversation with the Times of India, ‘The brain stem has stopped working, so we have decided to donate his organs. Vijay always believed in serving the society, which we are fulfilling by donating his organs.

Sanchari Vijay entered the cinematic world in 2011 with his debut film Rangappa Hogabitana. In fact, he played a small role in the movie Ram Ram Raghu Ram. The break-in in his acting career came when he was a part of the film Dasavala. His role as a disabled boy earned him a lot of recognition and appreciation. After Dashawala, Sanchari Vijay has appeared in various films in minor, supporting and sometimes in lead roles.

In 2014, he got a chance to play the lead character in the films Ograne and Harivu. In the film Harivu, he played the role of a farmer who struggles to get treatment for his ailing son. Sanchari Vijay’s role, story and acting attracted many. In 2015, for the film Nanu Avnaala… Avalu, he played the role of a transgender and won the Best Actor award.

As of now, he is the third Kannada actor to receive the National Award for Best Actor. Throughout his cinematic career, Sanchari Vijay has played different roles in films like Nathicharami, Krishna Tulsi, Atakkuntu Lekkakkila.
