Samantha Akkineni, who had filed a defamation case against some YouTube channels and a person, is in no mood to rest till she recovers. It was reported that the Kukatpally court here had rejected Samantha’s appeal to take legal action against those who claimed that he had defamed her.
The actress, who wanted legal action taken against her defamers, was instead asked to apologize to them. The court had cited that celebrities share personal details and then file defamation cases, which was not correct.
Unwilling to take it, Samantha had to bring her own lawyer to her defense. It is reported that Samantha’s lawyer has now cited the recent ‘Standing Injunction Order’ case filed by Shilpa Shetty as a reference point for Samantha’s case.
Shilpa Shetty had approached the Bombay High Court after her husband Raj Kundra was arrested in a pornography case. The court passed a permanent injunction order, banning media outlets from reporting abusive reports about him.
Samantha’s legal team indicated that she may approach the court for a similar ruling in her defamation case. The court has now reserved the verdict on Samantha’s defamation case and it will be heard soon.
The announcement of Samantha’s divorce came as a shock to everyone following which several websites and YouTube channels started speculating related to her personal life and rumors of the actress having an affair with her partners.
Samantha also took a jibe at the “false rumours” being spread in the media against Chaitanya after parting ways with him. Appreciating the support he got after Partition, he also criticized those who are spreading unverified and baseless speculations about it. The reason behind his separation.
In a statement posted to her Twitter and Instagram accounts, Samantha said divorce is “an extremely painful process” but that “constant personal attacks” have made it more difficult. Samantha’s statement was supported by her partner Rakul Preet Singh and costume designer Neerja Kona. Samantha’s fans and well-wishers also extended their support to the actress by sending her love and strength on social media.
