Salman Khurshid clarifies controversy on his book, says never called Hindutva a terrorist organization

Salman Khurshid Book Controversy: Congress leader and former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid is once again in controversy. The matter is related to Salman Khurshid’s book ‘Sunrise Over Ayodhya’. In his book, Salman Khurshid has compared Hindutva with terrorist groups ISIS and Boko Haram and described the politics of Hindutva as dangerous. Salman Khurshid has now clarified on the whole controversy in an exclusive interview with ABP News. Khurshid said that I never called Hindutva a terrorist organization. I waited for the Supreme Court’s order to write this book.

The word terrorist is not in my book – Khurshid

Salman Khurshid said, “I have written in my book that those who misuse Hinduism support ISIS and Boko Haram. There is no word terrorist in my book.” He further said, “I want to include people in the book. Mahatma Gandhi is mentioned in my book. Ram is also mentioned. Rather, the entire Ramayana is mentioned in the book. But people who believe in Hinduism know about it. I’m not even talking.

Khurshid on Rahul Gandhi’s statement:

Salman Khurshid said, “My party and I are one. I completely agree with what my party wants, what it does and what it says. I cannot be separated from the party or anything other than the party.” Can’t say. I have tried. To mention in the book what my party says and thinks.” He said, “If Congress does not agree, I will say no, but the party has actually supported it. Rahul Gandhi has said that if Hinduism and Hindutva are not separate, why do we need two names? In my book ‘I have praised Hindutva and said that it should be widely accepted. If Rahul Gandhi has insulted Hinduism, it is an insult to him too, because he himself is a Hindu.’

Kurshid on Ghulam Nabi Azad’s statement?

On the statement of Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress leader Khurshid said, ‘When Azad ji used to give statements, there used to be G-23. Today there is only G1. That is, now he is completely alone. Where did the rest go? He is my colleague and my senior leader. I respect what he said.” Azad had said in his statement, “It is wrong to compare Hindutva with Jihadi Islam. We may not accept Hindutva as a political ideology, but comparing it with ISIS and Jihadi Islam is factually incorrect.”

What is written in the book by Salman Khurshid,

In his book, Salman Khurshid states that Sanatana Dharma and classical Hinduism known for saints and sages are being pushed aside by a stronger version of Hinduism, by all standards such as the ISIS and Boko Haram of recent years. A political version of groups similar to jihadist Islam. When asked the reason behind this, Salman said, ‘Hinduism is a very high level religion. For this there can be no greater inspiration than the inspiration given by Gandhiji. If someone puts a new label on it then why should I believe it. If anyone insults Hinduism, then I will also speak. I said those who do politics of Hindutva are wrong and ISIS is also wrong.”
