Salman Khan’s lawyer H Saraswat receives death threats from Bishnoi gang

Jodhpur: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s lawyer H Saraswat has received death threats through a letter. The letter states that the lawyer will fulfill the fate of Sidhu Musewala and includes the initials of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar. “He has been provided security. We are probing it,” ANI quoted Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Jodhpur, Nazim Ali as saying.

Earlier on June 14, Delhi’s Patiala House Court allowed the Punjab Police to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the murder of singer Sidhu Musewala.

Sidhu Musewala was mercilessly shot dead by unidentified assailants in broad daylight on May 29 in Jawaharke village of Punjab’s Mansa district. The incident happened a day after the newly formed Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab, along with 424 others, downgraded their security. Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party in December last year ahead of the assembly elections. He also contested election from Mansa district but lost to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr Vijay Singla by a margin of 63323 votes.

The day the 28-year-old singer was shot dead in Mansa, Canadian gangster Goldie Brar claimed responsibility for his death in a Facebook post. Goldie Brar is said to be a close associate of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is the prime suspect in the murder of the Punjabi rapper.

Earlier, the gangster had threatened to kill Salman Khan for hunting a black buck, considered sacred by his community.
