Salman Khan has reportedly picked up a debut project for his niece Alizeh Agnihotri. A new report claims that the aspiring actress, who is the daughter of Alvira and Atul Agnihotri, is said to be making her acting debut with the remake of the Thai heist thriller Bad Genius.
The 21-year-old actor has been making his acting debut for quite some time now. Earlier there was news that Alijeh is going to debut with Sunny Deol’s younger son Rajveer. The two were to star in Avneesh Barjatya’s coming-of-age love story. However, with the project being postponed indefinitely, looks like the Hindi remake of Bad Genius will open its doors for Bollywood.
The source told Peeping Moon that Salman is launching Alijeh and the film will be helmed by Soumendra Padhi, director of Netflix’s Jamtara: Sabka Number Aayega. Pre-production is scheduled to begin in February and the project will go on floors in March. Salman is eyeing a release date later this year or early 2023.
Bad Genius is a 2017 hit film that revolves around a straight-up student who comes up with an exam-cheating scheme. The schoolgirl, played by Chutimon Chuengcharoensuqiing, joins her fellow students to help her find loopholes in a rigged college admissions system and cheat fellow students. The film is directed by Nattavut Poonpiriya. Alijeh will be seen in Chutimon’s shoes in the Hindi remake.
Although Alizeh is yet to make her acting debut, she did modeling for an advertisement last year. Alijeh appeared in an advertisement for a jewelery brand. She shared the video of the advertisement on her social media account and was praised. Salman was also very impressed. Salman said, “Oh wow, you are looking so good son Alijeh Agnihotri Khan… God bless.” Alijeh has also modeled for her aunt Seema Khan’s bridal wear.
