MumbaiBollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia passed away on Wednesday (September 8) morning. The ‘Bellbottom’ star took to social media to inform fans about the unfortunate news. He wrote a heartfelt post expressing grief over the demise of his mother.
“She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the core of my existence. My mother Mrs. Aruna Bhatia left this world peacefully this morning to be reunited with her father in another world. I pray for your prayers. As my family and I are going through this phase. Om Shanti,” wrote Akshay on Instagram and Twitter. Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages.
Salman Khan and other tinsel town celebs took to different social media platforms to offer condolences to Akshay and his family. Salman, who worked with Akshay in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and ‘Jaan-E-Mann’, has expressed grief on Twitter.
“Dear Akki, Very sad to hear about your mother’s passing. May her soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family,” the ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ actor tweeted.
Akshay, who is shooting for his new film in London, immediately returned to Mumbai after receiving information about his mother’s health. He had shared a post to thank his fans and well wishers for worrying about his well being.
Kumar’s post read, “Your concern for my mother’s health is beyond words. This is a very difficult time for me and my family. Your every single prayer will help a lot.”
