Salman Khan, CBI team seen outside actor’s Galaxy apartment after receiving threatening letter

Salman Khan and a CBI team were seen outside the actor’s Mumbai home Galaxy Apartments on Monday afternoon. After receiving a threatening letter to Salman and his father Salim Khan, the CBI went to their house. It was reported that on Sunday, an unsigned letter threatened Salman and Salim. The Mumbai Police had registered an FIR against an ‘unknown person’.

Though the CBI is yet to share details about the investigation, it was reported earlier in the day that the security of Tiger 3 Star has been beefed up. According to news agency ANI, the Maharashtra Home Department has beefed up the security of Salman Khan after the actor received a threatening letter.

On Sunday, news came that Salim got the letter after the morning walk. The officer said he was sitting on a bench at Bandra Bandstand after his morning walk, which is his routine, when an unidentified person handed him a letter threatening to kill Salim and Salman. Salim, with the help of his security personnel, approached the police and an FIR under Section 506-II (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at the Bandra police station.

The news of the threat letter comes days after Salman’s security was beefed up. Security was beefed up after Lawrence Bishnoi emerged as the prime suspect in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Salman was reportedly once on Lawrence Bishnoi’s radar.

In 2018, an associate of Bishnoi was arrested after he threatened to kill the actor in the blackbuck murder case. “We have increased the overall security of Salman Khan. A senior police officer told Hindustan Times last week, “Police will be present around his apartment to ensure that there is no nefarious activity by the gang from Rajasthan.”
