Kanpur: Sakshi Verma and her sister Tanya Verma gained the ladies under-17 and under-15 group titles of the forty first Billabong fast chess championship held right here on Saturday. Manikya Armani and Prakshar Gupta of Chintels College gained the under-17 and under-15 boys’ group titles respectively.
Sakshi in her group collected 4 out of 5 factors whereas Tanya bagged 5 factors in her group. Manikya and Prakhar earned 4.5 factors of their respective teams.
After the occasion, Dilip Srivastava, secretary, Kanpur chess Affiliation, introduced trophies and certificates to the winners.
