Saiyami Kher Reunites With Gulzar, To recite His Poetry In ‘8 AM Metro’

Mumbai: Actress Saiyami Kher, who worked with veteran writer-director-lyricist Gulzar in her Bollywood debut “Mirzya”, has reunited with the maestro for his upcoming film “8 AM Metro”.

Directed by director Raj R, the film also stars Gulshan Devaiah and has poems by Gulzar. In the film, the actress will be seen reciting Gulzar’s poems.

Sharing her experience of working with the veteran artiste again, the actress said, “‘8 AM Metro’ is a beautiful story and is graced with poems penned by Gulzar Sahab. His poems bring a lot of life to the film . Those poems got a chance to speak. He was kind enough to release the poster of the film. I had the privilege of starting my acting career with him in Mirzya and Gulzar sahab’s words and presence left a huge impact on my life His work, humility and knowledge is so immense, all I can do is sit and wonder how one man can do so much”.

Saiyami plays Iravati, a 29-year-old housewife who leads a mundane life. But his life undergoes a major change when he has to flee to Hyderabad. That’s when he meets Pritam, played by Gulshan Devaiah.

She further added, “I am a huge fan of Gulzar Saab. He has been a huge influence in my life unknowingly. I feel eternally grateful that I am working with him for the second time, it is pure bliss.” ,
