The situation in the war-torn country remains grim as Russia continues its assault on Ukraine. More than three million people have taken shelter in Mariupol, while the capital Kyiv and major cities such as Lviv and Chernihiv continue to be bombed regularly. Authorities in Mariupol claim 50 to 100 bombs are dropped every day and that 80 percent of residential buildings have been damaged, of which a third are beyond repair.
