More than 20 leaders were claiming 10 seats

The Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and is in coalition government in Jharkhand. After the announcement of the Rajya Sabha ticket, there was a ruckus within the party in both the states in power. Rajasthan Congress MLA Bharat Singh targeted the CM by writing a letter. He further wrote- It is the truth of today that big leaders no longer show courage by contesting in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections. Senior leaders want to survive only through the Rajya Sabha.

Mahila Congress general secretary Nagma and national spokesperson Pawan Khera opened a front against the high command on social media itself.

At the same time, many leaders including spokesperson Pawan Kheda, Nagma raised questions on ticket distribution on social media. Congress has fielded candidates for 10 seats in the Rajya Sabha. Among them are the names of leaders like Randeep Surjewala, Ajay Maken, P. Chidambaram, Mukul Wasnik.

Congress threatens to revolt from G-23
