The entire RRR team along with some of the most well-known names of Bollywood celebrated the success of the film in Mumbai.
RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) is another big blockbuster of SS Rajamouli starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR along with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. In the second week as well, the film has managed to keep a steady graph at the ticket window. On one hand, the Hindi dubbed version has crossed the 250 crore mark, RRR’s total collection is close to Rs 1000 crore globally – making the film the second best after Baahubali – The Conclusion. While the film continues to earn big, Rajamouli has started the success party. The entire RRR team along with some of the famous names of Bollywood celebrated the success of the film earlier this week. Filmmaker Karan Johar also attended the function in Mumbai, Rajamouli was praised by all.
Calling the director a “true genius” and a “visionary”, Karan told Bombay Times that Rajamouli has the imagination of a gifted child and the ability to go out and execute those fantasies like a true visionary. Throwing light on the aplomb factor in the Baahubali series, Karan said, “When I first saw Baahubali, I thought I had never seen anything like it on the silver screen of Indian cinema. Then I saw ‘Baahubali 2’ and I thought ‘Oh my god! How do you do it?” He added that ‘RRR’ is “too good to be true.”
Kajo insisted that Rajamouli is a “temperamental filmmaker” and one has to come to terms with the fact that such talent is real and that it can exist. According to him, he is the biggest filmmaker India has ever produced, so people should appreciate him and his team for continuously raising the bar of Indian cinema. “The standards have been set by Rajamouli and we aspire to be students of that kind of cinema. Whatever he has given to cinema, we can try to put it on a plate.”
