Rahul Sipligunj reacts to Jr NTR and Ram Charan not performing at Oscars
RRR pair Ram Charan and Jr NTR were given a chance to perform Natu Natu at the 95th Oscars. However, he reportedly turned it down.
The Oscar performance of RRR’s viral heel-tapping hit number Naatu Naatu left social media divided. While a section of the internet was happy to see Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairav take to the Oscars stage to perform Natu Natu Live, some were upset by the fact that none of the dancers on stage were confirmed to be of Indian origin .
On the other hand, fans of RRR jodi Jr NTR and Ram Charan were hoping that the two would perform on Naatu Naatu on the Oscars stage. However, everyone was disappointed that they could not join Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj on stage. It is later revealed that Taarak and Ram were approached to perform but backed out. Oscar producer Raj Kapoor told The Academy that Ram Charan and Jr. NTR were not comfortable recreating the blockbuster song due to the lack of rehearsal time.
Now, Naatu Naatu singer Rahul Sipligunj has shared his thoughts on how the entire nation missed out on watching OG stars, Ram Charan and Jr NTR dancing to the Oscar-winning song during the gala ceremony.
“If they had entered the stage, it would have definitely been a big bang. I definitely don’t know what happened. I feel like you, the whole of India would have gone mad,” Rahul told Hindustan Times .
Though it would have been a treat to watch Ram Charan and Jr NTR perform with Kala Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj, yet again the singers brought the house down. The duo gave a powerful performance and received a standing ovation at the 95th Academy Awards.
