PM Modi Employment Fair 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute appointment letters to about 71,000 newly recruited recruits through video conferencing today (April 13) at around 10.30 am. The Prime Minister will also address the appointees on the occasion.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation. It is expected that the job fair will act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

The ‘Employment Fair’ will be organized at three different locations – Guwahati in Assam, Siliguri in North Bengal and Dimapur in Nagaland under the jurisdiction of NF Railway.

Under this programme, the Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal will hand over appointment letters to the newly selected youth at Railway Rang Bhawan Cultural Hall in Guwahati. Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Ministry of Labor and Employment Rameshwar Teli will hand over the appointment letters at the Imliyangar Memorial Centre, Dimapur.

Who are the chief guests of the program:

Minister of State (MoS), Ministry of Home Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India Nishith Pramanik Siliguri will be the Chief Guest of the event and will distribute the appointment letters at Railway Officers Club, New Jalpaiguri. In this program, 207 candidates in Guwahati, 217 in Dimapur and 225 in Siliguri will be handed over appointment letters from various government departments.

Benefits of Job Fair:

Fresh recruits selected from across the country will join various posts/posts such as – Train Manager, Station Master, Sr. Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub Inspector, Constable, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Postal Assistant, under the Government of India. Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Senior Draftsman, JE/Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officer, PA, MTS etc.

New recruits will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new recruits in various government departments.
