Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 platform to spawn multiple motorcycles: Scram, Hunter

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is under development and everyone knows about it. However, the platform of the new motorcycle will be used for several other models under the 450 umbrella. A recent leak suggests that the Himalayan 450 will be the primary model for this new platform and engine, but will be used to develop more motorcycles. Since the silhouettes of other models are visible, it is understandable that Royal Enfield will develop a scrambler on the same chassis. In fact, a standard motorcycle like Hunter is also on the cards. Moving on, a hardcore trail-spec motorcycle is also in the pipeline.

The picture further suggests that a cafe racer with the same architecture and 450cc engine will be launched in the Indian market. With the new chassis and engine, Royal Enfield will bridge the gap between its 350cc and 650cc range. Also, we would not be surprised if Royal Enfield replaces the current Himalayan with a new larger displacement motorcycle.

Test mules of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 have been doing the rounds for a long time now. Perhaps, the mule has now assumed a production-ready avatar. The design looks peppy, and with enough camouflage to hide the details, we know a thing or two about the motorcycle. It will get a single-piece seat with the exhaust mount on the left side under the rear seat.

Moving on to the Scrambler, it is safe to say that it will feature dual-purpose tires along with enough suspension travel to bump it up a bit. Likely to be named the Scream 450, this Royal Enfield will offer an upright riding stance. A cafe racer based on the roadster/standard avatar of the motorcycle would be most impressive with an interesting riding position.
