RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary files nomination for Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh

Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Choudhary on Monday filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections as a joint candidate of the Samajwadi Party-RLD alliance. Chaudhary, accompanied by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, reached the Uttar Pradesh Assembly complex in the morning to file his nomination.

In the recent assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the SP won 111 seats, while its ally RLD got eight. Another ally of the SP, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, won six seats.

according to Election The last date for filing nominations for the Election Commission of India, Rajya Sabha is 31st May. Scrutiny of documents will be done on June 1, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is June 3.
