One of the most successful films of 2022, Kantara added yet another proud moment for India. The film was recently screened at the United Nations and Rishab Shetty has also shared pictures from the screening. On 16 March, Rishab presented an oral statement at the United Nations as a representative of ECO FAWN, a conservation non-profit from India. According to a tweet by the Center for Global Affairs and Public Policy (CGAPP). Rishabh will also attend a private dinner with UN diplomats.

Sharing the pictures on his Twitter handle, Rishabh wrote, “Proud to represent ECO FAWN in presenting oral statement at UNHRC. The importance of promoting cultural rights of forest dwellers and protecting forests in Kantara has been understood on an international platform.” Is.”

This comes days after Kantara won four awards at the 4th Chandanvan Film Critics Academy Awards. While actor and director Rishabh won the Best Actor award, his film was also awarded the Best Film, Best Music Award and Best Stunt/Action award by the film critics. Meanwhile, fans are now eagerly waiting for the Kantara prequel as well, which was announced by Shetty in February this year. After that, he shared that what was in the audience was actually part 2 and hence what will be released next will be a prequel to Kantara.

Written and directed by Rishabh, this period action thriller opened to an overwhelming response when it hit the theaters on 30 September. Reportedly made on a meager budget of Rs 16 crore, the film has earned over Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office. The story of Kantara is set around a small community living in the forests of Kadubettu in the southern coastal state of Karnataka.
