Actress-turned-filmmaker Revathi, who is creating waves with her directorial skills, is all set to collaborate with the extremely talented Kajol for a new film, The Last Hurray.
A true story and inspired by real characters, The Last Hurray tells the story of an exemplary mother, Sujata, who faced the most challenging situations with a smile. The film is currently in pre-production and will go on floors soon.
Talking about her first collaboration with Kajol and choosing this story for her, Revathi shared, “Sujatha’s journey in The Last Hurray is very close to my heart. It is not only relatable but also inspiring. When Sooraj, Shraddha and I were discussing about this film, Kajol was the first thing that came to our mind. Her soft yet energetic eyes and her beautiful smile will make you believe that anything is possible and that’s exactly how Sujata goes. I am very excited for this collaboration and to work with Kajol for this ‘Dilkash Kahani’.”
Excited to be joining Revathi for this beautiful story, Kajol shared, “When I heard the story of The Last Hurray, I immediately connected with Sujatha and thought her journey was incredibly inspiring. I think it is a beautiful journey and it should be shared with all. And having Revathi directing me for this story has given me the strength to play Sujatha and show my strength.”
