Revanth Reddy becomes TPCC chief by paying Rs 50 crore, alleges party secretary and quits

Following the issuance of the show cause notice, Padi Kaushik Reddy, the secretary of the Telangana Congress Committee and in-charge of the Huzurabad assembly constituency, resigned from the party membership and his post.

The TPCC issued a show-cause notice to Kaushik after a phone conversation with a party worker said, “TRS confirmed me bypoll ticket. I will take care of you and you will see what the youth in your village want. Will give them up to Rs 5,000 of their expenses. They have to work for us.”

Recently, Kaushik Reddy met Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao in a private function.

The audio of the conversation is creating a sensation in Telangana politics soon after the resignation of former minister Etela Rajender.

On the basis of the audio tape, the disciplinary committee of TPCC asked him to give an explanation within 24 hours.

Responding to the notice, Kaushik announced his resignation and pulled up the Congress party and Revanth Reddy.

Talking to the media, he said that Revanth Reddy became the chief of TPCC by paying Rs 50 crore and the Congress party would not win the Huzurabad by-election.

Revanth Reddy is in a trance. As he said I am not surrendering to anyone. He has been handed over to Atela Rajender. I am challenging Revanth, Congress will not get bail in the by-elections. Congress party will be vacant in six months. Thanks to Rahul Gandhi and Uttam Kumar Reddy for trusting me and giving me ticket from Huzurabad assembly seat in the last election. I decided to quit the party in view of the prevailing political situation in the state. I have decided to participate in the development of Telangana.” Kaushik Reddy said.

However, the TPCC announced that Kaushik has been suspended from the party.
