Despite the bandh, public transport continued to operate in the national capital. DTC buses, Delhi Metro, auto-rickshaws and other modes of public and private transport were running smoothly in the city. Except for the four entry points to the capital, which were blocked by farmers, all communications remained normal.
The farmers had exempted rescue and relief operations, including emergency services, all essential services, medical emergencies and personal emergencies, from the bandh. The United Kisan Morcha had assured that the bandh would be implemented in a voluntary and peaceful manner.
