Reports of actor St. Von Colusi’s death at the age of 22 after undergoing 12 plastic surgeries to look like BTS singer Jimin are false. The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that the actor passed away in South Korea following complications arising from a recent cosmetic surgery. However, Variety has now reported that it was nothing more than a hoax.
As reported by Variety, several journalists received releases about Colucci’s death via email via a bot named Niles, which scraped email addresses from the online portfolio website MuckRack. The release claimed that she moved from Canada to South Korea in 2019 to pursue a career in the K-pop industry. Not just that, it was also claimed that Colucci spent $220,000 (about Rs 1 crore 80 lakh) on 12 surgeries, including a facelift, a nose job and an eye lift.
It was further stated that Colucci was the son of Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima and a hedge fund CEO named Giovanni Lamas. However, to everyone’s surprise, Lima’s eldest child, 12, has no presence on social media.
Variety also claims that Saint Von Colucci’s Instagram handle, which goes by the name @papaxxzy, has also been deactivated and reactivated several times in the past week. Not only this, his profile on the internet also leads users to links that go nowhere.
For the uninitiated, it was previously reported that St. Von Colucci underwent surgery on Saturday to remove jaw implants in November last year. He was reportedly informed about the risk involved in the surgery. After surgery, Colucci developed an infection and was immediately intubated. He died a few hours later.
While Colucci’s alleged death turns out to be a hoax, it should be noted that this isn’t the first time someone has gone under the knife to look like Jimin. Internet personality Olly London has previously made headlines for undergoing 32 surgeries to look like a K-pop star.
