Richa Langella used to be one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu and Tamil film industry. She garnered critical acclaim for her acting in the films Mayakkam Enna, and Leader. Bhai, headlined by Nagarjuna Akkineni, turned out to be her last film. Since then, she has left the film industry to return to the United States for studies. Richa was three years old when her family moved to the United States from Delhi. The Bhai actress completed her degree in Masters in Business Administration from Washington University in St Louis in May 2017. Richa then tied the knot with her business school classmate Joe Langella and embraced parenthood in May 2021 with her son Luca Shaan Langella. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her family.

Richa had started her career as an actress on a successful note but decided to leave it for other goals and her family life. She has no regrets about it and shared her thoughts about it on Twitter on November 25, 2020. She wrote,” Wow….I can’t believe it’s already been #9YearsOfMayakkamEnna . I guess I took a page out of that story in “real” life, by leaving “reel” life to pursue other passions and changing my career track altogether! No regrets. In fact, no regrets about anything in life so far :).”

In an earlier interview with Idlebrain.com, Richa had opened up about many other facets of her life. She had revealed that she was fond of performing arts since childhood and participated in theatre during school time. Richa added that she had undergone training in Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares and then took part in many modelling commercials for brands like Dabur Vatika, Peter England People, Medimix, etc. The actress added that she also remained active in the fashion field and got the opportunity to walk on the ramps several times. She also lavished praise on the writer and director Sekhar Kammula and said that he is genuinely creative and has a love for art and cinema.
