Ahead of her show, Rema spoke exclusively to News18 Showsha and shared her excitement about performing in India for the first time. “India has been on my wishlist for a long time. I’m so excited to finally be able to make it to the country and perform for all my amazing fans here. Growing up I used to watch my sister dance and watch all Indian songs on TV so I have very fond memories of India. When my team told me that we are actually doing this tour, I was very happy as I have been preparing for this for the longest time. I have high hopes and I really expect people to come out for me.”
The singer further revealed that he wants to collaborate with Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman and popular rapper Badshah. “I am looking forward to collaborating with Badshah and AR Rahman. These are my two favorites right now but yes, I would be happy to explore some new opportunities here. I think the way forward is to create a unique sound blending Afrobeats and Indian sound that is going to rock! And I would love to do natu natu on stage.”

When asked about the success of ‘Calm Down’ and working with Selena Gomez, Rema said, “Selena is such an amazing person. We talked a lot over video calls while working on this song. She’s a friend.” She came to my show and we have had a very healthy and beautiful relationship while working on this song. She was very communicative about it and was very keen on the idea of the song and made sure she liked my poem. Complement it. Her voice is so divine and perfect and she’s such a beautiful soul and she puts that beautiful soul into music.”
