New Delhi: Handset maker Realme on Thursday made its debut in the premium segment with the launch of the much-awaited Realme GT2 Pro in India, which features a bio-polymer design with a paper-like texture that no other smartphone has found till date. , The Realme GT 2 Pro comes with a top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 5,000mAh camera, and a triple rear camera setup at the rear. The starting price of the smartphone is Rs 49,999 for the base model.
“We entered 2022 with bold new ambitions to enhance Realme’s presence in the premium segment with the GT series as a flag bearer. Madhav Sheth, CEO Realme India, VP, Realme and President of Realme International Business Group, said in a statement.
The Realme GT 2 Pro will go up against the likes of Xiaomi 12 Pro (yet to be launched), OnePlus 10 Pro, Iqoo 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22+.

Realme GT 2 Pro comes with an industry-first bio-based polymer design and 2K AMOLED flat display. The device also comes with 65W SuperDart Charge, 5000mAh battery, and is available in three colors: Paper White, Paper Green, and Steel Black. The price of Realme GT 2 Pro starts at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs 57,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant.
The first sale of the Realme GT 2 Pro is going to take place on April 14 at 12 noon on Flipkart.com, Realme.com and other mainline channels.
The Realme GT2 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup with the world’s only 150-degree ultra-wide camera with 50MP resolution and the world’s first fish-eye mode powered by Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. There is a 40X Ultra micro-lens, and a 50MP primary camera with OIS and EIS along with the IMX766 flagship sensor. There is also a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The company has also announced an introductory offer for the Realme GT2 Pro where buyers can avail Rs 5,000 cashback on HDFC Bank and SBI credit, debit card and EMI transactions. After the bank offers, the effective price of the Realme GT 2 Pro will go up to Rs 44,999 and Rs 52,999 for the 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM models respectively. It seems that Realme has taken a cue from Samsung and that is why it is also offering a complimentary Realme Watch S along with the Realme GT2 Pro for early buyers.
