‘Realize the pressure you’re facing’: Kiran Mane to her Mulgi Zali Ho co-star

Popular Marathi TV serial Mulgi Zali Ho is in news after actor Kiran Mane was suddenly dropped from the show. He made some shocking claims against the makers and co-stars. The creators also gave a statement accusing Kiran of misbehaving with female co-stars and the controversy created quite a stir in the Marathi television industry.

Kiran had accused the makers of the show and the channel of sacking her because she shared a political post on social media. Later, the makers of the show released an official statement accusing Kiran of being “aggressive” on set and that her treatment of female co-actors was “inappropriate”, which led to her sacking from the show. Some actors have defended Kiran and some have openly criticized her.

Kiran Mane’s Facebook post

Amidst the ongoing controversy, Kiran Mane wrote a lengthy post on Facebook in response to her co-actor Savita Malpekar’s allegation that she would misbehave and taunt female actors on the sets. Kiran wrote that she found Savita’s allegation disturbing. Kiran wrote in her long Facebook post, ‘I used to call you ‘Mhatare’ with love, even till the last day of our shoot. You were treating me with love till the last look of the shoot!! In the recent past someone has been misleading you about me, claiming that ‘Kiran is trying to remove you by telling the writers.’ You started feeling like this. You would sit in the makeup room and curse me. Still I didn’t quarrel with you. After meeting you, I took your hand in my hand, cleared up your misunderstanding, and told you some facts. When you called the writers later, you came to know that it was not Kiran Mane’s fault. You mentioned that secret stuff to me. “We had a good laugh.”
