Police have raided the rave party going on in the forest adjoining Pulga in Manikarn, the tourist town of Kullu in Himachal, and recovered charas, cocaine and other narcotics from the youths. There were 75 to 80 young men and women in the rave party and were dancing to the music when the police raided. The raid caused a stir among the youths involved in the party. During the search of the youth present in the rave party, the police found charas and other intoxicants including cocaine.

It has been told that the rave party was going on in the forest adjoining Pulga. A lot of intoxicants were also being served to the young women involved in this. The police cordoned off the youths, party organizers and drug suppliers present there. After this, the Forest Department has registered a case against the owner of the sound system playing in the land and has taken possession of 6 big speakers, a laptop, a mixer, 3 amplifiers, a generator and 1 head phone.

Charas and cocaine seized

SP Kullu Gurdev Sharma said that the youth and others present in the rave party were searched. Charas, cocaine and other intoxicants were recovered from some. Police has taken 4.58 grams of Charas from the possession of Parnem Sarv resident village Pinching, Tehsil Chandil, District Chandil, Manipur and 0.47 grams MDMA from the possession of Raghuveer son Ram Lal resident village Pulga, Post Office Barshaini, Tehsil Bhuntar, District Kullu. Cocaine and 6.48 grams of ganja have been seized. They were supplying drugs to the youth.

Rave party was also caught 5 days ago

According to the police, even before this, on May 31, the police had raided the rave party going on in Chhalal village of Manikarn Valley. There, 1.57 grams of cocaine and 2.68 grams of charas were recovered from the possession of Bhupati Raju Jagarnatha Verma resident of Andhra Pradesh. The police is vigilant about the rising rave party issue.

DJ system worth lakhs has been confiscated

District Kullu Police has seized the DJ system used in such rave parties. According to SP Kullu Gurdev Sharma, till now the team of Police Station Kullu has seized sound systems worth lakhs from 5 DJ parties in this year. He said that the police are constantly monitoring such illegal activities.
