Ranveer Singh and Prashant Varma to collaborate for a project?
Ranveer Singh and HanuMan director Prashant Varma might be uniting for a movie.
Ranveer Singh is gearing up to team up with “HanuMan” director Prasanth Varma for his upcoming film. According to a source close to the director quoted by Hindustan Times, Ranveer has shown interest in collaborating with Prasanth but has not yet formally committed to the project.
“Yes it’s true that Prasanth approached Ranveer for a film in his cinematic universe. It will be his immediate next project after HanuMan. Ranveer is interested and it’s almost confirmed but nothing is finalised yet. An official announcement will be made once it’s finalised. Mythri Movie Makers will be backing it,” the source disclosed to Hindustan Times.
Additionally, during the Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha ceremony, Prasanth Varma made a surprise announcement about his next film, titled ‘Jai Hanuman.’ It remains unclear whether this film will feature Ranveer.
On his X account, Prasanth shared his excitement about the venture, stating: “With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! #JaiHanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha (folded hands emoticon).”
‘HanuMan,’ starring Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vinay Rai, was a significant success, grossing over ₹100 crore globally and establishing the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).
Ranveer Singh is also slated to appear in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’, featuring an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Additionally, he is involved in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’.
Last year, Farhan Akhtar unveiled Ranveer Singh as the new Don in the teaser for Don 3: The Final Chapter. The teaser included Ranveer’s voiceover, resonating with the awakening of a lion: “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko…”
