Ranbir Kapoor Confirmed For Sourav Ganguly’s Biopic? Actor Likely To Visit Kolkata Soon

Fans of former cricketer Sourav Ganguly have been waiting for his biopic for a long time and if recent reports are to be believed then Ranbir Kapoor has been finalized to play the 50 year old cricketer on screen.

Yes, you read it right. According to the report of E-Times, Hrithik Roshan and many other names are involved. Sidharth Malhotra Was considered for Dada’s biopic. However, it is Ranbir who bagged the project. The entertainment portal also claimed that the Brahmastra actor is likely to visit Kolkata soon where he will visit Eden Gardens, CAB office and even Sourav Ganguly’s house before resuming the shoot. However, there is no official confirmation of this yet.

Sourav Ganguly’s biopic was announced in 2019. Last month, former BCCI president’s wife Donna Ganguly spoke about the much-anticipated biopic and told E-Times, “I think the producer and the director would be the best people to answer this question as they are the ones making the film.” are making. When asked who she would like to see as Sourav on-screen, Donna said, “If you want to know my favorite, I will name Amitabh Bachchan Or Shahrukh Khan. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of Tu Juthi Main Makkar, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film is presented by T-Series’ Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. This is the first time that Ranbir and Shraddha will be sharing the screen. TJMM is set for a festive release in cinemas worldwide on Holi on 8th March 2023.
