Indian women’s cricket team will take on arch-rivals Australia in the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. Ahead of the semi-finals, however, former World Cup winners Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina have come up with a unique gesture for skipper Harmanpreet Kaur.

On social media, ahead of the all-important semi-final against Meg Lanning’s side, Yuvraj and Raina shared a video which showed that whenever one searches for the captain of the Indian cricket team, only Rohit Sharma and Hardik come up in the results. Pandya’s name appears, and not Harmanpreet Kaur’s.

While Rohit is leading the men’s ODI and Test teams, Hardik has taken charge of the T20I team. Meanwhile, Harmanpreet recently surpassed Rohit by becoming the first player to enter the record books in 150 T20I matches.

While Harmanpreet has been struggling of late, there is no doubt that she has been a towering figure in women’s cricket, having helped the Indian team clinch a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games last year, while also leading her side to the Asia Cup title. kept.

Kaur also led her side to the final of the 2020 T20 World Cup where they finished as runners-up and the Indian eves will be eyeing a second consecutive final but standing in their way will be holders Australia.

Both these sides share a lot of history, but considering the stellar performances of Renuka Thakur, Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh, the Indian team will hope to come up with a statement performance against the defending champions.
