Ram Charan’s wife Upasana Konidela revealed whether the couple is planning to welcome their first child in the US or India.
Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela are expecting their first child together this year. While fans are looking forward to meeting the little one, rumors started doing the rounds claiming that Ram and Upasana will welcome their baby boy in America. As the rumors started going viral, Upasana clarified that she is welcoming her child in India.
Upasana said in a statement, “I am thrilled to have given birth to my first child in my country – India, surrounded by the world-class medical OB/GYN team at Apollo Hospitals including Dr. Sumana Manohar, Dr. Ruma Sinha and Ab. Dr. Jennifer Ashton from the show Good Morning America. This journey has brought us many exciting experiences and we look forward to this new phase in our lives with great anticipation.”
Recently Ram appeared on Good Morning America and talked about preparing for parenthood. Speaking with medical correspondent Jennifer Ashton during the show, the RRR star said, “I’m glad I met you. I’ll have your number. My wife is going to be in the US for a while.” Jennifer replied, “It would be an honor to give birth to your child.” This exchange gave rise to rumors that Ram and Upasana are planning to welcome their child in America.
In the show, Ram also mentioned that while he was not planning to have children, he had time to spend with his family. However, ever since he and Upasana announced their baby news, he has been caught up in work and packing and unpacking has become a part of his daily routine.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. He will next be seen doing a cameo in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Currently, the actor is busy with his 15th film, which is being directed by S Shankar and is tentatively titled RC 15.
