Along with the motion teaser, the superstar wrote, “Bringing you all a story of the purest form of Bandhan that will remind you of you! A #Rakshabandhan releasing in cinemas on August 11, 2022.”

‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a comedy drama film, also starring Bhumi Pednekar. The film directed by Aanand L Rai revolves around the love, bond and attachment between brother and sister.
This will be the second time that Akshay and Bhumi will be seen sharing the screen together. Both were earlier seen in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.

Raksha Bandhan will not have a single release. The film will clash Aamir Khan And Kareena Kapoor’s much awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha. In the film, Aamir will be seen playing the role of a slow-witted person with a childlike optimism. The film, which also stars Mona Singh and Chaitanya Akkineni, has been shot at several picturesque locations across India. With the film, Aamir and Kareena have reunited on screen after 13 years of their 2009 hit ‘3 Idiots’.
The film, which has been in the making for 14 years, has been officially adapted for Indian audiences from the 1994 Tom Hanks-starrer ‘Forrest Gump’, and the original screenplay by Eric Roth was adapted by ‘Delhi 6’ actor Atul Kulkarni Is.
Advait Chandan, who previously directed the commercially successful and critically acclaimed 2017 Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao production, Secret Superstar, will direct Laal Singh Chaddha.
Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios, Laal Singh Chaddha is also slated to hit the theaters on August 11, 2022.
Now that cine-lovers have two big Bollywood superstars to watch, it will be interesting to see which one they choose – Raksha Bandhan or Laal Singh Chaddha.
