Rakhi sawant marriage controversy: The Mumbai Police has approached a sessions court in Mumbai after a magistrate denied him custody of Adil Khan Durrani in an alleged domestic violence case. In a review petition filed in the Dindoshi court, the police said medical examination of the accused was necessary as he has been charged under section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code.
Durrani was arrested on February 7 after Sawant filed a complaint alleging assault, taking money and jewelry from her flat without her knowledge and having unnatural sex, among other things. He had earlier lodged an FIR for assault and snatching money and jewellery. Later, Sawant in his statement accused Durani of having committed an offense under Section 377 as well.
Durrani was produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on 7 February, which remanded him in judicial custody, rejecting the police’s request for remand.
In a related development, on Tuesday Sawant, represented by advocates Ashok Sarogi and Jai Yadav, opposed Durani’s bail application before the magistrate’s court.
Recently a new FIR was registered against Rakhi Sawant’s husband Adil Khan in Mysore. A girl student from Iran had filed a rape case against Adil at Mysore’s VV Puram police station under section 376 of the IPC. In her FIR, the Iranian woman had accused Adil of raping her on the pretext of marriage when they lived together in Mysore. She mentioned that when he demanded to marry her five months back, she rejected it and said that he is in similar relationship with many girls. He then threatened and blackmailed her not to file any complaint by sending her intimate pictures. Now an FIR has been registered under IPC sections 376, 417,420, 504 and 506.
When she threatened him that she was going to file a police complaint, he sent her some intimate pictures on Snapchat and also threatened to share those pictures on social media and send them to her parents. He also threatened to kill her if she lodged a police complaint against him.
