The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has banned the use of Artificial Intelligence based ChatGPT in the upcoming class 10th, 12th board exams. Officials gave this information on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has banned the use of Artificial Intelligence based ChatGPT in the upcoming class 10th, 12th board exams. Officials gave this information on Tuesday.

10th and 12th board exams are starting from Wednesday.

According to the instructions issued by the board before the paper, “Mobile, ChatGPT and other electronic items will not be allowed to be carried in the examination hall.”

Board officials said that using ChatGPT would amount to using unfair means in the examination.

A senior board official said, “Students are not allowed to carry any electronic device inside the exam centre. This includes using the device to access ChatGPT, so that unfair means are not used.”

ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer), which was launched in November 2022, is capable of generating speech, songs, marketing copy, news articles and student essays or human-like text based on given inputs.

The new artificial intelligence (AI) system, known as a large language model (LLM), is designed to generate human-like writing by predicting upcoming word sequences.

The admit card for the exam also has a warning instruction, “You must not indulge in any unfair practice. If found, you will be booked under Unfair Means (UFM) activity and action will be taken as per the rules of the Board.” Will.” It added, “Don’t believe fake videos and messages uploaded on social media.
