Produced by Karan Johar, this film, featuring Rajkummar Rao alongside Janhvi Kapoor, was initially slated for release on April 19 of this year. However, recently, KJo announced a new release date for the sports drama. Just moments ago, Karan Johar took to social media to share a big update regarding the much-anticipated project. Produced under his banner, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles. Revealing the new poster, KJo expressed his connection with the film and revealed that it will now hit theaters on May 31, 2024, instead of the previously announced April 19 date.

Janhvi Kapoor shared her excitement on social media about the new release date of the movie. She wrote, “Love scores a century on May 31st, 2024! #MrAndMrsMahi releasing in cinemas! FINALLLLLLYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!” Her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya was one of the first people to comment. “Wooooooooo,” he wrote.

In Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar will be portraying the character of Mahendra Singh Dhoni while Janhvi would essay the role of a character called Mahima. In an interview with Mid-Day, Janhvi had earlier revealed that she underwent a gruelling six months of intensive training in order to adapt to the mannerisms of a cricketer. The actress had said, “It was an exhaustive process of six months to get into the skin of the character and sync into the role.”
