Ahead of the proposed cabinet reshuffle, a meeting of the Council of Ministers began on Saturday evening at the residence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Several ministers are likely to resign and the chief minister is likely to meet Governor Kalraj Mishra after the meeting.

The meeting started around 7 pm. Sources said the oath ceremony is likely to be held on Sunday.

Although it has not yet been decided which new faces will be included in the cabinet, but the process of reaching a large number of Congress MLAs in Jaipur had started from last Friday evening.

Ajay Maken, the state in-charge of Rajasthan Congress, present in Jaipur, will discuss the names of potential candidates with CM Ashok Gehlot. Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot is also returning from Delhi to Jaipur on Saturday evening.

Significantly, state ministers including Govind Singh Dotasara, Dr Raghu Sharma and Harish Chaudhary had offered to resign from the ministerial post in their letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
