The Government of Rajasthan is inviting applications for its Young Intern Program (YIP), which is run by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES), Government of Rajasthan. This opportunity is provided in 15 districts of this state. Interested candidates can download the application form from the official website of DES, Rajasthan- statistics.rajasthan.gov.in. The intern will get a monthly salary of Rs. 30,000. Each will get Rs. 2500 per month in payment for laptop connectivity and internet access.

Young Interns Program (YIP) is a state government internship program designed to provide an opportunity to outstanding and progressive youth to develop their talents by getting real world experience. This includes working on programmes, schemes and projects of government departments.

Candidates in the age group of 21 to 30 years can apply for this program. They should have excellent communication skills and should be proficient in ICT skills. To know more about the eligibility criteria for internship, candidates are requested to read the official notification released by DES, Rajasthan on its official website.

The duration of the internship is one year after which the government will provide a certificate of its completion. The duration of the internship can be extended for an additional year, with six months at a time after the first year, if so considered and recommended by the District Collector or Divisional Officer based on the performance of the intern. The duration of internship cannot exceed two years.

The intern will have to carry out all the tasks assigned to him/her for the implementation of the ongoing projects/schemes under the direction of the Mentor/Nodal Officer/Supervisor. They will have to submit a report to the nodal officer or supervisor after completing their internship, and the supervisor will assess the value and quality of the report. It is mandatory to send the final report, because the stipend for the last quarter will be stopped.
