Rajasthan assembly adjourned till September 13 after tribute references

The proceedings of the Rajasthan Assembly were on Thursday adjourned till September 13 after paying tributes to the late leaders. The session began with Speaker CP Joshi appreciating the contribution of the late leaders.

He asked the members to observe silence for two minutes in his memory. The Speaker earlier in the day adjourned the House till Friday, which was later adjourned till Monday following a decision taken by the Business Advisory Committee. The House paid tributes to former Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh, former Rajasthan CM Jagannath Pahadia, former Kerala and Bihar governor Raghudan Bhatia, former Jammu and Kashmir governor Jagmohan, former Himachal Pradesh CM Virbhadra Singh and others.

The members also paid tribute to those killed in lightning strikes in Jaipur, Dholpur and Kota in the state on July 11.
